Wall Hangings

After a long vacation in Australia and New Zealand, I made this little wall hanging from some souvenirs
   Sometimes just the right fabric panel is all you need to make a striking wall hanging
  I love the ocean with its ever-changing moods and colours. This lap quilt can also be a wall hanging. 
  A fabric collage was a fun Project one snowy day 
  To create a sense of distance find toile was applied outside of the central border

Northern Lights   

 

I made this wall hanging when I came home from working in Yellowknife.
I went out onto the tundra one night with a group of Japanese Tourists. They believe the Northern Lights are the spirits of their ancestors sending them messages a belief that got stronger as the night progressed with countless visits to a handy tent serving saki shots.
It was surreal laying in my back in the snow wearing s bulky snow suit
fields of flowers Sometimes simple strips of great fabrics can make an attractive wall hanging or lap quilt.
4Poodles My friend and miramichi neighbour had 4 poodles to who I quickly became attached to so I couldn’t resist this fabric to use as a Christmas gift for her.
